Vikki Faudel
Vikki is a life and business coach with an international following.
She works primarily in the US and the UK and is in the UK for a short 11-day tour. One of her four formal stops will be with us at Yes Group North.
In 1987 Vikki was living the American life. She had a corporate job and a new husband. After a short period the husband showed his true personality through verbal abuse that was escalating. After a couple of incidents where he threw things, including knives, ending the relationship. The therapists identified the relationship as abusive even though ?he never actually hit me.? She sought more therapy and began her research. After six months of therapy she asked her therapist ?When will we be finished talking about this? I want to go live my life.? The therapist laughed and said ?honey, we'll be talking about this for the next 15 years!?
Vikki was not satisfied. She identified that people go through cycles of behavior. People are predictable and make the same mistakes over and over again. If the cycle can be broken, people are free to grow and move on. She brainstormed with two of her friends at the time; a chiropractor and a neurosurgeon. They developed the fundamentals of what was to become The Lotus Seed Process. This was the whole premise for the next 20 years of her work. She dedicated all of her time to learning how to break cycles and help people live in the present instead of the past.
She learned that the concept of people's cycles extended beyond relationships. People act in cycles in how they communicate with their partners, how they behave in relationships, how they parent, how they manage their money, how they work with others, and how they run their businesses. Some people always cheat on their spouses. Some people never do. You can count on some employees for any job and there are others you know you can't count on at all. There are people who work hard and always have money and personal drive and there are others who are always broke and lack ambition.
Workplace conflict resolution, employee satisfaction, and retention
are emphasized when The Process is applied to business situations.
Good communication and examination is key to resolving these constant issues.
